Terms of Use – 山居手记

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and RogueFan (“we”, “us”) for using the Jotdo List app (iOS / iPadOS / Android / macOS / Windows / Linux) and the website www.shanjushouji.com. Effective date: 8 September 2026.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the product, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and uninstall it.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, use the product with a parent or guardian. We do not target children under 13, or under 14 in Mainland China.

2. The service

Jotdo List is a todo and focus tool. You can capture tasks, organize lists, run focus timers, and sync across devices after signing in. The Tiny AI Supervisor can run tasks you dispatch on an authorized desktop computer and write a brief back to the original todo.

Without signing in, data stays on the current device. Signing in enables sync; Jotdo Membership is not required for sync.

We may maintain, adjust, or retire features. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notice you in the app or on the website.

3. Account and Jotdo Membership

You may create or sign in to a product account with email, Sign in with Apple, or (international edition) Google. Keep your credentials safe. Do not share, transfer, or use another person’s account.

Jotdo Membership is a paid entitlement. It currently includes extra list colors, private lists, and continued dispatch after the free quota is used up. Cross-device sync is not a membership feature; it follows the signed-in account. During an active membership, later VIP features unlock automatically. We do not promise a fixed list of future features.

Prices, promotions, and available plans are as shown in the app at purchase. A promotional price applies only to that account’s first purchase; later renewals or repurchases use the regular price. If you already have an active membership, a new purchase may be declined to avoid double charging.

After expiry or refund, local and synced data remain. Signed-in users keep syncing. Paid capabilities such as the full color palette and editing private lists are withdrawn per product rules. Existing private lists can still be viewed on-device after verification, but creating or editing them may be locked.

4. Auto-renewal (App Store)

On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, Jotdo Membership is an auto-renewing Apple subscription. Payment, invoices, refund requests, and Family Sharing follow Apple’s rules.

Plans are monthly or yearly. Apple charges the next period to your Apple ID within 24 hours before renewal unless you turn off auto-renew.
Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. After you cancel, access continues until the end of the current period.
Promotional pricing applies to the first period only; renewal returns to the regular price.
After reinstalling or changing devices, use Restore Purchases in the app with the same Apple ID.

This section applies only to the App Store. The Android package from our website is not auto-renewing.

5. Prepaid duration (website Android)

The Mainland China Android package from our website uses one-time payments (currently Alipay) for a fixed duration (about 30 days monthly, about 365 days yearly). It does not charge again automatically. There is no Restore Purchases control: entitlements belong to the product account and load after sign-in.

You must be signed in before purchase. Server-side confirmation is the source of truth. If another channel such as WeChat Pay is not enabled in the current build, the app will not show it.

6. Your content and acceptable use

You are responsible for todos, notes, attachments, and dispatch goals you create, and you must have the right to provide them. Do not use the product for illegal activity, infringement, harassment, malware, or interference with the service.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate use where required by law or necessary to protect other users or the service.

7. Tiny AI Supervisor tasks

The Tiny AI Supervisor runs only on a desktop you authorize. CLI credentials, allowed folders, and raw tool logs stay on that machine. They are not uploaded to our servers and are not executed on phones or tablets.

Signed-in accounts receive a limited free dispatch quota. After that, membership allows continued dispatch. Rewarded ads, if offered, play only when you choose them. Results depend on the local environment, the scope you authorize, and third-party tools. We do not guarantee that any given task will succeed.

8. Intellectual property

The Jotdo List name, UI, code, documentation, and brands belong to RogueFan or their rightful owners. These Terms do not transfer any IP to you. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the product beyond what these Terms allow.

You retain rights in content you create. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide sync, backup, display, and support.

9. Disclaimer

The product is provided “as is”. We take reasonable care to keep it running, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss caused by networks, devices, store or payment channels, or local CLI tools.

Todos, focus sessions, and task briefs are not professional advice. Please back up data that matters to you.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. The new version takes effect when published here. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

You may stop using the product and uninstall it at any time. We may terminate the service if you seriously breach these Terms or if the law requires it.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Please try to resolve disputes amicably; otherwise they may be submitted to a court with jurisdiction where we are located.
